- PURPOSE IS NOT FOR ME
Let’s be clear. Each and everyone of us has a unique purpose here on earth. Purpose is not reserved for artists, priests or charity workers. You are here for a reason and so am I.
- MY PURPOSE HAS TO BE SOMETHING BIG
We’ve got this idea that our purpose has to be something that transforms the world or ten thousands of lives at least. But your purpose can be just as powerful and fulfilling if it is about being a good mum.
- PURPOSE IS SOMETHING ‚I DO‘
This is probably the biggest myth of all. That our purpose is something we do. What if your purpose is not about doing or working at all but rather about fully embodying a particular quality of your being ?
- THERE IS ONLY ONE PURPOSE IN MY LIFE
Rest assured – there is more than one purpose in your life. As you grow and change, you might find that you feel called in a new direction. And this is fine too. It doesn’t mean that your former purpose wasn’t ‘the real deal’.
- I COULD MISS MY PURPOSE
No, you cannot. At least not if you are paying attention. It is artfully woven throughout your life – it shows itself in your talents, interests, wounds, shadows, emotions, experiences … you cannot miss it. It’s everywhere.
- PURPOSE IS (NOT) FOR PROFIT
No matter what you’ve believed so far- whether purpose must pay your bills or whether it is immoral to want to make money with your purpose – It all depends on what your purpose is all about. Don’t limit yourself before you got even started.
- IT’S TOO LATE FOR ME NOW
It’s never too late to pursue your purpose. You might find that all that you’ve done so far has been preparing you to fully embody your purpose now. Trust the timing of your life and follow this quiet inner voice that has been calling you.
- LIVING MY PURPOSE MEANS BEING ON MY OWN
This is one of the deep-seated fears of so many women I’ve worked with – that we lose our belonging once we step into our greatness & live our purpose. The opposite is true – you’ll find your tribe as you follow your purpose.
- ONCE I LIVE MY PURPOSE, LIFE IS GOING TO BE PERFECT
Sorry to disappoint you but living your purpose won’t make you eternally happy. In fact, it will test you on many levels as it is so deeply interwoven with who you are at your core. But it will allow you to grow & to feel fully alive.
So then… what is purpose ?
